Board and Staff

Joan came to work as the Director of Member Relations after serving on the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Tourism’s Board of Directors for four years.  She served as chairperson for the last two years of her term.  She is excited to be able to continue to serve the Chamber and its mission by working directly with members of the Chamber.

Joan was born and raised in Columbus County.  She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavioral Analysis.   She received her wellness coaching certification training from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  She is proud to have participated in the Chamber’s Leadership Program.

In addition to working with the Chamber, Joan owns J. Mac’s creative plans by design.  She serves on various committees serving the interests of small businesses throughout Columbus County.
