Jennifer is the President of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.  Jennifer is originally from Long Island, New York, and moved to Southern California when she was 14.  She moved to North Carolina in 1994 and currently resides in Whiteville.

Jennifer has been employed with the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Tourism since its merger with the Tourism Bureau in 2013.  She was director of the Tourism Bureau beginning March 2005.  Previous to this, she was with the county’s economic development office.

Jennifer has two biological sons, Brandon age 24 and Dylan age 22; a stepson, Camerin, age 24; and twin stepdaughters, Marissa and Jessica, age 28.  She is married to Michael Holcomb, a 20 year Army veteran, now retired and working for the Department of Defense.

Jennifer holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Mount Olive University.  She is a graduate of the US Chamber’s Institute for Organizational Management as well as the NC Rural Economic Development Institute.  She has completed course study in Basic Economic Development at UNC Chapel Hill along with Tourism Marketing College in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Jennifer serves on several boards and committees, including Whiteville Downtown Development and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.  Jennifer serves on the board of the Destination Marketing Association of NC and is a former vice president of the North Carolina Tourism Industry Association.  She and her husband are members of Peace Baptist Church where Jennifer teaches an adult Sunday school class, leads in the women’s ministry, and serves on the greeting committee.
